ACS Colloids names Rose the winner of the Victor K. LaMer Award for her dissertation work! She will present the award talk at their 2021 meeting on June 16th.
Rose presented her work on Structure-property maps with Kernel Principal Covariates Regression and Improving Feature and Sample Selection with Principal Covariates Regression at the APS March Virtual Meeting . A recording of the talk is available online for the duration of the meeting.
2020

Rose’s publishes an article in the Proceedings of the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) detailing the REACT Workshop entitled Bringing Science Education and Research together to REACT.
2019
Rose presents a poster entitled “The Diversity of 3D Photonic Crystals” at Materials Research Society (MRS) Meeting in Boston, MA and wins the award for Best Poster!
Rose presents “The Diversity of 3D Photonic Crystals” at American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) Annual Meeting in Orlando, FL. Prof. Sharon Glotzer gives a talk on Rose’s work, entitled “In Search of the Photonic Band Gap”.
Rose begins a post-doctoral position under Prof. Michele Ceriotti at the Laboratory of Computational Science and Modelling (COSMO) at the Ecolé Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL).
On July 31, 2019, Rose successfully defended her dissertation at the University of Michigan. Her defense, entitled “Designing Nanoparticles for Self-Assembly of Novel Materials” is available on YouTube .
